This is the cardboard, not fancy but I really liked it. After all, it did its job of holding mini cupcakes, cupcakes and cookies, not once but twice and on one of those occasions, the cupcakes were piled on there and I wondered how it would hold up to the load-conclusion: very well. It is clear, but the upside is that it can be decorated if you choose. I left the plain use it yet, but I might do some decorating the next time I have to use it. I didn't bother to take it apart
